Greetings, Tiger Families,

           My name is Dr. Karin Reavis and it is my pleasure and privilege to introduce myself as the new principal of Sussex Central Middle School. I bring you greetings from Sussex Central Elementary School where I served as assistant principal for the last two years. Although I am going to truly miss the students and staff of SCES, I am excited to embark on this new journey at SCMS.

            Our goal is very simple:  we want to ensure our students receive the best education possible. That begins with you. With consistent communication, collaboration, and commitment from you and all other relevant stakeholders, our students will achieve success, not only this year, but well into the future. We will show students how much we care for them through our expectations of them. We encourage students to respect one another, their teachers, and all other staff members. We also encourage parents to be equal partners in their children’s learning. We strive for all parties involved in the learning process of students to be respectful and goal-oriented. It won’t always be easy, but it is achievable.

           Sussex Central Middle School’s mission is to encourage and ensure each student we serve maximizes their academic potential. A theme for this school year is that everything we do will be a matter of PRIDE. I want you and every staff member to be proud of the great things that will be happening here at SCMS.
