Girls Basketball Tryouts are Monday–Wednesday from 3:00–6:00 PM! Whether you’ve played before or simply want to try something new, we want to see you on the court!

Come ready to work hard, compete, learn, and have fun! Bring your physical, sneakers, and water bottle.

Our Sussex Central Elementary School Leadership Team returned to school to collaborate with the administrative team to finalize plans for an exciting and successful school year. Together, we are committed to creating the best possible learning experiences for our Tiger Cubs while supporting our exceptional staff. The day concluded with an engaging and informative professional learning session led by Dr. Croisdale, who equipped us with strategies to strengthen higher-order questioning and meaningful classroom discourse. Please make sure your student-athlete has a current VHSL physical on file before participating. Bring athletic clothing, tennis shoes, and plenty of water each day.

Tiger Nation is proud to welcome Mrs. Karen King as the Lead School Counselor at Sussex Central High School!

While Mrs. King is not new to Sussex County Public Schools, she is bringing her experience, passion, and student-centered leadership to SCHS as she leads our School Counseling Department into an exciting new chapter.

Mrs. King is committed to ensuring every student has the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and in planning for life after high school. She believes that strong relationships, open communication, and high expectations create pathways for student success.

As Lead School Counselor, Mrs. King will work alongside our students, families, teachers, and community partners to expand college and career readiness opportunities, strengthen academic planning, and ensure every Tiger has the resources needed to achieve their goals.

Her servant leadership, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to students make her an outstanding addition to the Sussex Central High School leadership team.
